The end of July I had the honor of taking some engagement photos for a couple of friends.  I met Aryn, the bride to be, at church, and I went to high school with her fiancée, Justin.  They are a beautiful couple, and the longer I photographed them, the more perfect I realized they were for one another.  Feel free to check out their story here.

I’ve got a couple more shoots coming up that I’m excited about.  A couple weeks from now I’ll be taking some headshots for a friend that’s in the theater program at UNT, so that should be super fun.

Then in October I’ll be shooting the rehearsal dinner/wedding for Aryn and Justin!! Words cannot express how excited I am for those.

Also a few fun outings I hope to get good photos at.  This weekend I’m going to a Paramore concert on Friday (EEK!), my colleges football game in the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, and the Rangers vs. Yankees game on Sunday.  Paramore I definitely plan to get pictures, but depending on the weather I don’t know that I’ll be taking my camera to either of the sporting events.  They’re both outside, and Texas is expected to get rain for the next two weeks.  So we’ll see.

This is a fiddle player from the Celtic Rock Band out of Dallas, TX, called Needfire.  Talking to him after they performed at the Scottish Festival in my hometown of Minden, Louisiana, he told me that he had been playing for 12 years, and was only 21 years old.  I have never seen someone tear up a fiddle like that (if you look at his bow in the picture, you can see how shredded it is.  It was a brand new bow when he started playing) and he had such amazing stage presence.  He refused to stay still, but I still caught some cool pictures.

Shooting off some fireworks at a family reunion in New Iberia, Louisiana, I decided to try out the fireworks setting on my camera, and I got some alright pictures, but I thought this one was pretty cool.

These are my friends Rachel and Blake, and I had the honor of shooting their engagement photos in August of 2009, in downtown Paris.

Finally got my laptop back from Dell, along with my 8gb memory card that I left in it.  I went out this morning to take some pictures of the beautifully blooming flowers in our back, side, and front yard, and I have to say that these are certainly my favorite.  :) Brightness, contrast, and saturation are three of my best friends at the moment.
